It was the manufacturer Asus has brought out the first motherboard with USB 3.0 ports that have been certified by the USB Implementation Forum (USB-IF). USB standard has long been in computers for connecting external accessories, and version 2.0 has been alternative in many years. Now finally USB 3.0 started to take off, and there we saw at CES this year.
Asus P6X58D Premium based on Intel's X58 chipset and Intel's LGA 1366 socket. It also supports the upcoming 32nm six-core processor.
Several motherboards from Asus has been implemented with support for USB 3.0, which bodes well for all of us who like to transfer the old USB 2.0 is getting the right job when it comes to sending large files to USB flash drives and external hard drives.
